1. Data We Collect

We collect information in three categories:

• Account data: Business name, owner name, email address, phone number, country, and billing information provided during signup or demo booking.
• Operational data: Customer records, prescription histories, inventory items, sales transactions, HR records, and financial data that you enter into the platform. You own this data entirely.
• Usage data: Log files, IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and feature usage patterns — collected automatically to improve the product.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Optician Dynamics ERP platform.
• To process demo requests, onboarding, and customer support tickets.
• To send product updates, security notices, and service communications. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time.
• To comply with legal obligations in Pakistan, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other GCC jurisdictions.
• To improve product features through aggregated, anonymised usage analytics.

3. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored on encrypted cloud infrastructure hosted in regional data centres (UAE and Pakistan). We use AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. Daily automated backups are retained for 30 days. We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Data Ownership & Portability

You own all operational data you enter into Optician Dynamics. You may export a full CSV of all your data at any time from within the platform — no request required, no waiting period. Upon account cancellation, your data remains available for 90 days before permanent deletion.

5. Third-Party Services

We use a limited set of third-party services to operate the platform:

• Payment processing: Stripe and local payment gateways (JazzCash, EasyPaisa for PKR). Card data is never stored on our servers.
• Email delivery: Transactional emails are sent via a certified email service provider.
• Analytics: Anonymised, aggregated usage data only. No personal data is shared.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data held by us.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Object to or restrict processing of your data.
• Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.

7. Cookies and tracking

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged in and to keep the site secure. These cannot be switched off.

We also use analytics and advertising technologies, loaded through Google Tag Manager:

• Google Analytics 4 — to understand how visitors find and use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device).
• Meta (Facebook) Pixel — to measure whether our advertising works and to show relevant ads to people who have visited this site. This sets Meta cookies such as _fbp and shares a record of your visit, and of demo requests, with Meta.
• Microsoft Clarity — to see how visitors actually use our pages, so we can fix what is confusing. Clarity records a replay of your interactions with the page (mouse movement, clicks, scrolling) and produces aggregate heatmaps. Text you type into forms is masked and is not captured.

Our footer also displays review badges for our listings on SourceForge, Slashdot and Top Business Software. These badge images are loaded from Slashdot Media (b.sf-syn.com) when you scroll to the bottom of a page, which means Slashdot Media receives your IP address and the address of the page you are viewing. The badges show our public review rating and are not used to build an advertising profile of you. Their handling of that request is governed by the Slashdot Media privacy statement.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share your prescription, patient or business records with any advertising platform — advertising tools only ever see website activity, never data held inside the Optician Dynamics application.

You can opt out at any time: block cookies in your browser, use Meta's ad preferences settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, email [email protected].
